Aktion Deutschland Hilft and the Federal Foreign Office award the Journalist Award Humanitarian Aid for the third time. The Journalist Award Humanitarian Aid promotes an open and solution-oriented discourse between the media and non-governmental organisations.
CHA Director Ralf Südhoff also sits on the independent jury of experts from journalism, media sciences and humanitarian aid. In his journalistic career, Ralf Südhoff worked as a ZEIT correspondent in Rio de Janeiro and as a reporter for Financial Times Deutschland.

Journalists between the ages of 21 and 35 can apply for research grants for the development of multimedia contributions on humanitarian aid in the category Research & Work. Detailed information on the conditions of participation can be found here.

Permanent or full-time freelance journalists can apply in the category Published Work. Participants can submit print, online, radio and television contributions that were first published in German media between January 01, 2018 and July, 31 2020.
