Policy Options for Humanitarian Organisations after the Federal Election – Closed Workshop
In mid-September, a workshop was held to develop a preferred future for 2030 based on four scenarios and with the help of Causal-Layered-Analysis, future interviews and future triangles. In this workshop this vision was scaled to the period of the next legislature until 2025 and the political scope for action for humanitarian organisations was defined. The period before the new German government takes office was used to work out the specific implications of this vision for German humanitarian action and to develop joint policy options for humanitarian organisations. The focus was on three core aspects: Funding, coordination and participation/ decolonisation.
Format and scope
Half-day workshop, building on the results of the Foresight Workshop of 14 September.
Preparation phase: approx. 1 hour to (re)familiarise with the results of the first workshop.
Participation
Participation in the workshop was free of charge, however, only possible for persons who participated in the workshop in September.
