On 25 September, UNHCR, the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and the German Institute for Human Rights will host a full-day symposium on “Climate Change, Protection and Migration”. At the beginning, the situation and its significance for forced migration will be examined from the perspectives of climate research, refugee protection and the human rights framework in three lectures. In the following working fora, different thematic focal points will be formed and discussed together with experts. At the concluding panel discussion, the results of the working fora and future challenges as well as possible approaches to solutions will be discussed by
