How has climate change emerged as a game changer for the humanitarian system? What challenges will it face in the future? How does climate change affect human security? These questions will be discussed by scholars and practitioners at the seminar No climate security without human security: Insights from Africa’s climate hotspots at the Danish Institute for International Studies on 13 December 2022.
Andrea Steinke, researcher at CHA and head of the research project Climate Change and Humanitarian Change will participate in the discussion an shed light on the impact of climate change on the humanitarian system. Her input “Climate change – a game changer for the humanitarian system?” will take place between 15:35 – 15:50.
The seminar will be in English. Physical participation is free of charge, but registration is required via the institute’s website.
