On 25 January, Dr Andrea Steinke will give a brief input on the situation in Haiti as part of an exchange at the Federal Foreign Office. The focus will be on the situation on the ground (security situation due to gang crime, flight and displacement, precarious supply situation), preparations for the Multinational Security Assistance Mission and exploring the scope for action for the German government to support the Haitian and Kenyan governments as part of the UN engagement.
Prof Markus-Michael Müller (Roskilde University), Dr Annika Hansen (ZIF), Dr Judith Vorrath (SWP) and Prof Dr Arndt Sinn (ZEIS, University of Osnabrück) will also provide brief inputs.
